Look for gifts

Every day I also get a spiritual type email and they are just as moving as the motivation ones. Today's tells us that there is always a bright side to every thing. If each of us take the time to look at the situations we end up in and just see what we can learn then all we do is grow. There is very little that happens to any of us that is so bad that we can't move forward. The only thing that should stop us is death, and when that does happen I'm sure we want to be able to look back on our lives and not see a bunch of "should ofs" but a bunch of "great moments". Never worry about others, never think the outcome is going to be negative, and always dream big and expect the best. Life itself is a gift and everyday is great day to learn something new and grow.

Look for the gifts

How is a problem in your life really an opportunity?

Problems invite us to go inside to recognize a bigger picture of ourselves and of life. This bigger picture brings meaning to what is unfolding. When you feel trapped in a problem, see if you can shift your perspective. Ask yourself, “What is my soul inviting me to learn from this situation?” The answer will always revolve around a quality or value, like gratitude, freedom, compassion, love, will, humour or acceptance. The answer will also always promote union rather than separation.

As soon as we find the meaning in our challenge, our resistance to it melts away. Often, awareness of the lesson is all that is needed to resolve the problem. If not, the awareness brings us courage and ways to work through it.

STARTING IS THE KEY IF YOU WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL.

That first step is the key. You can reach anywhere with out moving forward, and knowing where you are going. It's cool to dream big dreams and it's awesome to be optimistic all the time, but there has to be that point where you crave those dreams so much that you focus your actions to making that dream your reality. I think a good first step would be to write those day dreams down, figure out the goals you want out of them, and then through that you can see the person you want to be. I'm going to start writing all my wants, desires and ambitions down in my log book, so I can always be reminded in the real world the things my imaginations want me to achieve.

STARTING IS THE KEY IF YOU WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL.

The courage to begin always separates dreamers from achievers. Your willingness to act, to overcome inertia, is your first step on the path to success. You're surrounded by opportunities to be successful. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desires and begin at once, whether you're ready or not, to put your plan into action. Don't wait. The time will never be just right. Start where you are, and work with the tools you have at your command and better tools will be found as you go along. The first step is the hardest. But you must take it. A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

REALITY IS SOMETHING YOU CAN RISE

I love how it says we are bigger than anything that can happen to us. Everything is overcome able, nothing is impossible to rise above and keep moving forward. All we have to do in rough situations is find the lesson and learn from it. If we took everything that happened to us a like doing a test in school then we would all grow to better persons. We would learn to put embarrassment and worry out of our minds and learn to just live life for what it is ... OURS!!! We can do and be anything we want, we just need to be aware of our surroundings and learn how to make them work for us.

REALITY IS SOMETHING YOU CAN RISE

You're bigger than anything that can happen to you.

The obstacles you face are only mental barriers
which can be overcome by adopting a more positive approach.

Have the courage to confront what you can imagine.

You don't have to be a puppet manipulated by outside powerful forces,
you can become the powerful force yourself.

Courage is resistance to fear and mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
This is where you'll win the battle, in the playhouse of your mind.

Visualize what you want.
See it, feel it, believe in it.
Make your mental blueprint,
and then begin to build.

See things as you would have them be instead of as they are.

YOU MUST HAVE A DREAM TO MAKE IT COME TRUE

Our dreams are our reality!!! It's in this message today and it's always in my email quote. We form our futures with our minds, not y what others tell us. There is a reason I cal be corp's the fat cats because all the works are just the scared mice doing as they are told. I personally never want to be that scared mouse ever again and never ever want to be that fact cat. I want to free from the corporate world as a participant and just be a outsider trying to help fix it and show others it doesn't have to be that way. This message isn't too motivating but it shows one other goal I have and it's one I had for about 5 years, and so far I've been doing everything right to make it come true. Obviously being independent with a wife and 2 kids is not an easy goal to obtain, but I've been doing it for the last 3 years. At the same time I'm still focusing on my goal of 37 and my banker tells me that I'm making the right moves to reach that as well. So as crazy as those goals are by themselves they are even bigger combined .. and because of my focus and drive I am making them happen :) What are your big crazy goals? Are you on the path to reach them?

YOU MUST HAVE A DREAM TO MAKE IT COME TRUE

Advance confidently in the direction of your dreams,
and strive to live the life you imagine and you'll meet with success.

The only way to discover the limits of what is possible for you
is to go beyond those limits into the impossible.

Far away, there in the sunshine are your highest goals and aspirations.
Believe that you can reach them, look up and see their beauty,
believe in them, and follow where they lead.

You are the one who can stretch your own horizon.

EFFECTIVE TIME USAGE DETERMINES SUCCESS

The Daily Guru is back .. yes!!! I haven't gotten and email from him about 2 weeks and it's been hard for me to write stuff without it.

Well today's daily guru is perfect. Yesterday I was so sick I couldn't do anything and it felt like such a waste of time. Being focused and using your time effectively is so important in reaching your goals. I find the key is to take each item you need to complete and break it down into easy doable tasks. By doing this everything becomes simple and obtainable. Keep focused and using your time wisely and everything well work out. You can have all the money in the world and loose it, and you can earn it back. But you can never get back your lost time. Time is money and so precious.

EFFECTIVE TIME USAGE DETERMINES SUCCESS

Everyday you make an investment of your time in your chosen activities.
You cannot save time for later use. You have to use it as it comes.
And you only have 24 hours to each day.

Try to get the most out of the time you have.
Focus your efforts on doing those things that will have the most
significant impact on your life and your work.
Do the important things first and stay focused on them
until they are done.

Nothing makes you more effective than your ability to stay focused.
Challenge yourself to stay focused.
You'll be amazed at how much you'll get done,
when you actually work the whole time you're working.

Your time is precious and cannot be replaced.
Use it effectively with focus and get things done.

Don't serve time, make time serve you.

Dream Big, Bold Dreams

Big dreams bring big results. I'm using this new daily newsletter for this stuff and it's turning out pretty good so far. Today's shows how Desire and Effort are required to get results. Everybody has big dreams, everybody wants to make it, but only some understand that to get there it takes effort. It's not hard to see patterns in these emails. First you always have to see your goal, then you have to figure out how to get there or take small steps always towards it, along the way you have drop things in your life today to reach it, but if you keep focusing, moving and making choices .. you will get there. Big Hairy Audacious Goal's ("BHAG") are important in this process. The more outrageous the goal the more it becomes something you want. I want to be financially free by age 37, when I tell this to people (bankers, accountants, older folks, anybody) I get that weird look of me being crazy. But you know what, that's my BHAG, that's the thing that keeps me moving forward and personally I think I've been making a lot of the right moves to get there. There have been pitfalls from time to time, but because I believe everything happens for a reason I look at those pitfalls as blessings instead of drawbacks.

Dream Big, Bold Dreams

What invites you to conceive of brave, big, and bold dreams
in your life?

Martin Luther King dreamed brave dreams. "I have a dream
that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true
meaning of its creed: all men are created equal."

Mother Teresa dreamed big dreams. In Ladies Home Journal,
April, 1996, she shared her personal dream that, "I was to
follow Jesus into the slums... It was an order... And when
that happens, the only thing to do is say yes."

A dream that started with little money and a handful of
sisters is now a worldwide organization with over seven
thousand nuns and brothers, in more than 100 different
countries."

John F. Kennedy dreamed bold dreams. Kennedy stated his
dream in May of 1961. "I believe that this nation should
commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is
out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely
to the Earth."

The dream became a reality on July 20, 1969, when Apollo 11
commander Neil Armstrong took a small step for himself and a
giant step for mankind, leaving a dusty trail of footprints
on the moon.

What about your bold dreams? What is in the imagination of
your heart for your goals?

Do you dream in ways that create more meaning to your life?

Take a moment to consider (and even write down) one of your
dream goals.

Now, consider an equation that makes a fabulous difference
between the achievement of a goal or its dismal failure:

D + E = R

D = Desire - What kind of real desire supports your dream?
On a scale of 1-10, how much do you yearn for what you are
dreaming? Can your desire become focused readiness for goal
achievement?

In The Power of Focus, the authors (Canfield, Hansen and
Hewitt) tell a story of a workshop participant who is a
dentist. He told them that he was only in the dental
profession because it was his mother's dream.

He went on to say, "I hate it. One day, I drilled through
the side of a patient's mouth and ended up having to pay him
$475,000." What is the cost of pursuing someone else's
dream? What is the value of pursuing your own?

E in the equation stands for effort. Decide on the effort
that you are willing to invest to achieve your dream goal.
Effort includes time, energy, knowledge, skills, and an
active commitment.

R = Results. The secret is that life changing results
require both your desire and effort.

*Marilynn Mobley, a gifted public relations strategist,
dreamt of an executive position in a premier global
organization within thirty miles of her home at a specific
salary range with job responsibilities that would blend her
strategy skills with her love for technology.

She moved from dreaming to taking specific, relevant and
focused action on her goal. She treated her executive search
as an 8-5 job each day. She gave it her professional energy,
focus and used every resource available to her.

Within just six months of beginning her search, she was
offered her dream position with Edelman, the most
prestigious PR firm in the world. In her words, "I couldn't
have written a better job description for myself. This job
is perfect for me." She now is Senior Vice President and
Strategic Counsel, having already been given new
responsibility in just 18 months that is parallel with her
career growth and interests.

What about you? What is the effort that you are willing to
invest in your dream goal? When are you willing to get
started?

As we close, a powerful quote from Mahatma Gandhi
underscores the truth of our equation Desire + Effort =
Results. "I claim to be an average man of less than average
ability. I have not the shadow of a doubt that any man or
woman can achieve what I have, if he or she would make the
same effort and cultivate the same hope and faith."
