goSolo.com

I have to write a blog about gosolo.com. Most of you know I have this but are wondering what it is and why I need it. We travel and having this saves me money and lets people get a hold of me. I may not answer my calls all the time but if you leave a message I will call you back within the hour (time permitting).

This system is amazing. For as little as $10/mth you can have your own 800 number, add $10 and you get unlimited incoming calls, add another $40 and you just got unlimited outbound calling. Add another $7 and you just got yourself one of the greatest virtual offices ever. I don’t know why or how but if you call this order in for some reason it comes to $44/mth. I know I’m good but I don’t think I did anything special to get that amazing low price.

I’ve let people know about this awesome product and all I can do is hope you are smart enough to save yourselves some money.

Gosolo.com … Get It!! Use It!! Love It!!

GTD and contexts

I'm having a hard time getting mt GTD groove on. My issues are making my context lists, I don't know where to start and how deep to go with it. I found this awesome article just about this topic and it's helping me figure it out but I still need help. Now I can't afford to have David Allen drop over to my house for a quick lesson so I'll ask all of you reading this.
I think I need:
@online
@offline
@phone
@errand

Then I need agenda lists for people I deal with:
@sean
@dan
@"anybody I deal with"

My biggest question is are these things email folders/labels or are they notes that I actually type in myself? Currently I'm using gmail online and I'm now use to using my email as my action items. Where I keep them unread if I need to do something, but that doesn't help me in knowing if I need to use computer, email, phone, or even how long it's going to take.

Any help from the crowd would be awesome. Once I think I have it and I sit down to start building it I get lost.

snap.com

This thing is amazing. You create a simple free account then grab the one line of script and throw it in the head of your html page and bam!! Check it out and add it to your blog if you like the way it looks and works. Get it here.

Note: I just posted this and took a look at my older blogs and bringing the links to life this way realy makes you rethink what you are linking to. I said a blog takes me about a half hour before well now I think it might take me closer to an hour but it's going to be well worth it in the end.

Virtual Code

I just finished reading this article, click here, on cnn.com and I have to write this before it’s already done. Back in university, winter 1998, I had a vision of how virtual reality could help me as a coder and I dreamed of that day ever since. I pictured sitting down to a desk that only had a keyboard, googles and a pair of gloves. When you slip on the googles you saw your icons floating there, and all you had to do was touch them. The code aspect is what I long for. Where all these lines of codes are floating there in snippets all around you and all you do is reach out grab it, and then you type on your virtual keyboard and finish the program. We all love our double monitor setups but imagine a full 360 degree of indefinite space to fill as you see fit, with everything literally at your fingertips.
