I think it's suppose to take 3 weeks of doing something over and over again before it becomes habit. Once you reach that point it's then second nature and you remove the mental motivation and preparation part from doing the basics actions. Then your mind is free to innovate and focus on doing those actions better. Musicians and athletes have it all figured out. Practice and then more practice are the keys to success, but not just success but winning with out thinking. Their bodies know what to do in every situation before their minds even have time to think about. Imagine you being in that state of mind with your own destiny. Life is throwing curve balls at you but because you are so focused on your goal and you've trained yourself on how to stay focused you body and mind are making moves without you even knowing it. you are passing up opportunities that don't lead you to your end goal. You are making decisions that only lead you to where you need to be. You managed to make you whole being focused on your main target of accomplishing that goal. Can you make a decision without over analyzing it, without worrying about the outcome. If you can move through your days this way then you are going to reach your goal much faster.
I write these blogs without thinking, without rereading them or anything. I write these words with the practice I've gone through, my mind is focused on trying to get others motivated and thinking in a certain way that I write these emails/blogs without even thinking about them. I love to go back and reread them after the fact, but for the most part I just trust myself enough to let them flow without thought.
YOU ARE WHAT YOU REPEATEDLY DO
First you make your habits, and then your habits make you.
You become a slave to your constantly repeated acts.
What at first you chose, at last compels.
Your thoughts lead you to a purpose.
Your purpose moves you to take action.
Your actions form your habits.
Your habits determine your character,
and your character fixes your destiny.
Your habits are either the best of servants
or the worst of masters.
Once in motion, a pattern tends to stay in motion.

Andrew,
You're absolutely correct and your personal effort shows.
You learn a certain amount from what you read and hear but you learn far more from what you do.
What you do repeatedly, you master.
